About-Us

WAYNE HILDRED

Born in New Plymouth, New Zealand in 1955, Wayne crossed the Tasman in 1978, and soon made his mark in road and track cycling in Victoria. After breaking the record held for 19 yrs by his hero Russell Mockridge for the fastest time in the Melbourne to Warrnambool, he headed to Europe and signed with Boule d’Or in Belgium, the team of sprint king Freddy Maertens. Wayne loves to ride around Bright and will happily reveal some of his cycling tips on the ride.

SUSAN CHARLTON

Susan loves to ride – long days in the mountains are her favourite. She’s ridden some of the most gruelling HC climbs of the Tour de France. Now based in Bright, she’s in her absolute element and loves the freedom of being able to get out and go anytime she feels like it. Last year, she and Wayne did the Euroride – 2000km in two weeks from Spain to Switzerland.

Susan has finished in the top half of the Hawaii Ironman, run a couple of marathons, won a half marathon and placed in some fun runs in Europe, though these days, she’s more likely to be walking than running.
